Gardience is a hardened Salt console that manages your whole fleet from one place, Windows and Linux side by side, with patch and compliance reporting, single sign-on, and a security SLA. It fills the Windows gap SUSE Multi-Linux Manager leaves open and keeps your Linux estate in the same view. One vendor, one support line.
SUSE Multi-Linux Manager and Uyuni do the Linux estate well, and leave Windows out. So the Windows fleet ends up in a second tool, a spreadsheet, or nowhere, with no single view across both. In a regulated shop that still answers for every endpoint, that is an audit finding waiting to happen.
Salt already manages Windows and Linux together. The commercial console that put a supported UI on it moved from SaltStack to VMware to Broadcom and is no longer sold to new buyers. The open-source pieces work, but nobody is standing behind them with a release you can pin and a phone number you can call. Gardience is that supported console, for the whole fleet.
What you are living with now
Windows managed in one place, Linux in another. Manual minion setup. No single patch view across both. Community tooling you patch yourself. And when a CVE drops on a Sunday, you are the one reading the advisory.A hardened, rebranded Salt console that manages Windows and Linux together, packaged so it installs in an afternoon and upgrades without breaking your customizations.
Every minion in a single web console on top of Salt, Windows and Linux side by side, with role-based access and a layout your techs can actually use.
Windows Update and Linux package status across the whole fleet in one audit view, exportable, instead of two separate silos.
Your technicians log in with the directory accounts they already have. Every action lands in an audit log.
A signed installer that brings a Windows or Linux host under management in one step. No hand onboarding, host by host.
A tested release every quarter and a fix for any relevant CVE within a week. When an advisory drops, the email comes from us, before you hear about it elsewhere.
We stand it up in your environment, air-gapped if you need, and handle the upgrade path. You run your fleet, not a tooling project.
SaltGUI is a respected open-source project, and Gardience is built on it. On its own it shows you minions, grains, pillars and jobs, and lets you fire commands. Running it in a regulated shop means wiring up salt-api, TLS, a reverse proxy and auth by hand, then owning every break when Salt updates. Gardience closes that distance.
What you get for free, and maintain yourself:
Everything above, packaged and supported, plus:
A support contract, not a seat license. The first customer gets a 90-day pilot at no cost, then the Starter rate locked for three years.
A node is any managed host, Windows or Linux. Counts are a guide, not a meter. If you are between tiers or unsure of your count, we will size it on the call.
DoD and regulated environments run Windows everywhere and buy exactly this shape of thing: a small business standing behind open-source infrastructure with a CVE SLA. Gardience deploys air-gapped, logs every action, and is built to sit inside a STIG or CMMC boundary.
Bouziden Management LLC is registered in SAM under NAICS 541512. Capability statement available on request.
Already running Uyuni or SUSE Manager?
That is the easiest fit. Keep your Linux deal with SUSE and let Gardience take the Windows half, or run the whole fleet through one Gardience console. Your call, either way it is supported. Two or three lines is enough. We will reply from a person, and set up a short call to size it.
